For your convenience, a drop box is located near the back door of City Hall for payments.

Customers may also elect to have property taxes or water and sewer payments taken directly from their bank account.  More information is available by clicking on “automatic payments” information.

Water and sewer billing information, and assessing information are available online by clicking on the links included on this page.

Property taxes for the City of Mason are billed twice annually, Summer (July 1) and Winter (December 1). Summer taxes are due August 31 and Winter taxes are due February 14. All tax payments must be in the hands of the City Treasurer by 5:00 P.M. on the dates due to avoid penalties. POSTMARKS WILL NOT COUNT.

Outstanding property taxes as of March 1 each year are turned over to the Ingham County Treasurer’s Office for collection. Partial payments on current taxes will be accepted at City Hall through March 1. If you have any questions regarding taxes due for previous years, please contact the County Treasurer at (517) 676-7220. A receipt of your tax payment will be forwarded to you if a stamped, self-addressed envelope is included with your payment.
